Tracking & Analytics

Understanding scan data, unique visitors, device types, and exporting reports.

What Data is Tracked?

Every time a dynamic QR code is scanned, our edge network logs the interaction before redirecting the user. We track the following data points in real-time:

1
Total vs Unique ScansOverall vs individual scanners
2
Geographic LocationCity and country-level data
3
Device & OSiPhones, Androids, Tablets
4
Time of DayUnderstand peak scanning hours

Exporting Reports

If you need to share campaign performance with your team or clients, you can export all analytics data as a beautifully formatted PDF report or as a raw CSV file for Excel analysis.

Frequently Asked Questions

We track total scans, unique visitors, geographic location (city/country), device type (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows), browser type, and scan time.

No. To maintain strict GDPR and CCPA privacy compliance, we do not track PII (Personally Identifiable Information) like names, phone numbers, or exact GPS coordinates.

Total scans counts every single time the code is scanned. Unique visitors filters out duplicate scans from the same device within a specific timeframe.

Location is determined via IP address geolocation. It is generally accurate to the city or regional level, but it is not pinpoint GPS accuracy.

Yes. Pro and Enterprise users can export their analytics data as a formatted PDF report or as a raw CSV file for further analysis in Excel or Tableau.

Yes! On the Pro plan, you can easily append UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign) to your destination URLs so they show up perfectly in your Google Analytics dashboard.

No. Static QR codes do not pass through our servers, so it is physically impossible to track them unless you use your own Google Analytics UTM tags on the destination URL.

Our analytics dashboard updates in near real-time, typically reflecting new scans within 5 to 10 seconds of them occurring.

Yes. Our edge network uses advanced heuristics to automatically identify and filter out automated bots, spiders, and security scanners so your data isn't skewed.

Yes. You can clear the analytics data for any specific QR code from its settings menu.

By default, analytics are displayed in UTC, but you can change the display time zone in your account settings.

Yes, if they are dynamic QR codes. Each dynamic code has a unique short link, so you can track the performance of two different codes independently even if they point to the same destination.

Yes. You can configure automated weekly or monthly summary reports to be sent directly to your inbox.

We retain detailed analytics data for the lifetime of your active subscription.

Enterprise users can embed custom Facebook/Meta or Google tracking pixels directly into our redirect flow, allowing you to retarget users who scan your physical codes.
